Farsley Celtic will be looking to record back-to-back wins for the first time this season on Saturday when the Celts face Hereford at Edgar Street

Pav Singh’s side bounced back from the disappointment of last Friday’s 3-0 defeat to Spennymoor Town with a 3-0 victory of their own when they took on Peterborough Sports at the Horsfall Stadium with DJ Campton-Sturridge, Danny Greenfield and Robbie Fox netting the three goals to secure the points.

Farsley will be looking to follow that up with another strong performance when they make the long trip down to Herefordshire on Saturday, however they will face a tough challenge in the form of play-off chasing Hereford who have enjoyed a strong start to this season’s campaign.

It will be a special occasion for Celts midfielder Ryan Watson as well at Edgar Street, as the Farsley legend makes his 200th appearance for the club. We will be posting more content around Watto’s fantastic achievement in the days to come!

Pav Singh has challenged his team to repeat their strong performance in midweek, saying: “After an outstanding 3-0 win over Peterborough Sports, the team heads into our next challenge on a high. Every player put in a top-notch performance, making it tough to pick standouts.

“However, Robbie and Sam deserve a special mention for their impact and commitment on the pitch—they embodied exactly what we ask for in a Farsley Celtic performance.”

On team news, Pav said: “As we gear up for the long trip to Hereford, we’re facing a few injury concerns. DJ and Dylan are set for late fitness tests, and while Darren returns, he’s not quite back to full fitness.

“Isaac and Lewis are still weeks away, so we’ll have to manage our resources carefully. Despite these setbacks, our mindset remains positive and focused. This group has shown time and time again that resilience is at the core of who we are, and we’re ready to carry that spirit into the Hereford match.”

Singh also commented: “This team is committed to showing our values every time we step onto the pitch—working together, sticking to our game plan, and taking the game to the opposition. Our players have been brilliant at adapting and supporting each other in the face of adversity, and I know they’ll give everything to bring home another result.

“Come on, Farsley! Let’s keep this momentum going.”

TEAM NEWS

As mentioned above, DJ Campton-Sturridge is set for a late fitness test after injuring his foot during Wednesday night’s victory. Dylan Youmbi also faces a late call. Darren Stephenson is back and available, however he will be lacking match sharpness.

HEREFORD

Hereford currently sit high in 5th place inside the National League North playoffs, however they come into Saturday’s fixture off the back of a 2-0 defeat away at Warrington Town. The Bulls only have one victory at Edgar Street this season which came all the way back in August on the opening day when Paul Caddis’s side defeated South Shields 3-0.

LAST TIME OUT

The Celts endured a tough afternoon last time out at Edgar Street as they were comfortably defeated 4-1. Ryan Watson scoring a consolation in that fixture.
