Biography

Sam joined the Celts this summer having left fellow National League North side Spennymoor Town.

The 25-year-old spent his youth career at hometown club York City, before moving to South Yorkshire to Barnsley, followed by a spell at Salford City.

Sam has plenty of experience already of playing his football in West Yorkshire, after making 65 appearances for Bradford Park Avenue before his move to Spennymoor, followed by a loan spell at Hyde United in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

A central midfielder by trade, Fielding is also capable of dropping deeper to play defensive
midfield, as well as performing as a centre-back.
