Farsley Celtic can confirm the loan signing of Huddersfield Town Academy defender David Adewoju.
David, 20, is a left-sided defender who can play at centre back or on the left side of a back three. He is 6′ 3″ tall and last season made five first team games for Bradford (Park Avenue).
Having previously been on the books of Queens Park Rangers, the tall, left-footed central defender joined the Town Academy in the summer of 2020 at Under-17 level. He signed his first professional contract with The Terriers in 2022 and is a regular in the Town B team.
David played in the B team’s 2-1 pre-season win against The Celts at The Citadel back in July.
Farsley Celtic director of football Pav Singh said: “Amid loans ending, suspensions and injuries this week, we’ve swiftly secured David, whose outstanding attributes align perfectly with our style.
“I extend my thanks to David Fox and the club for their rapid action in making this happen.”
Loanees Dylan Youmbi and Noah Wadsworth were this week recalled by parent club Bradford City. Defender Rudy Misambo has a three-match suspension following his red card against Tamworth last week.
