Lewis Turner’s successful loan stay at Ossett United has been extended by a further month as the versatile defender/midfielder continues to gain match fitness following serious injury.
Lewis, who scored a penalty in Ossett’s shoot-out defeat to Guiseley last night, suffered a serious injury prior to pre-season starting and only resumed full training last month.
Director of football Pav Singh said: “We’re delighted with the progress Lewis has made during his time at Ossett. You can see he is getting stronger and fitter the more minutes he plays. I’m pleased his loan spell is continuing at Ossett and look forward to welcoming a fully fit Lewis Turner back into the squad.”
The loan spell has a 24-hour recall option.
We can also confirm that Joao Silva’s one-month loan spell at Ossett has ended and our young forward has now returned to our first team squad. Welcome back, Joao!
