The Celts were boosted by much-improved performance – and their first home win of the season – when they beat Boston 2-0 on Tuesday evening.
And boss Clayton Donaldson will be hoping to build on a solid start to the season away from home, which has seen The Celts win on the road four times so far.
“I’m more than happy with the performance on Tuesday, I thought the boys were electric,” said Clayton on the morale-boosting victory. “I can’t fault their effort at all. It feels great, it was a long time coming, but we have been unlucky with late equalisers and refereeing decisions.
“Everyone put a great performance in, all the hard work was justified and to keep a clean sheet was the icing on the cake. It’s been coming.”
Clayton is looking forward to the bus schedule ahead, which sees The Celts play a minimum of ten league and cup matches between now and Christmas.
“Tuesday’s win was massive. It’s going to be a difficult period we’ve got a decent squad and we’ll be utilising that. We’ll have to. It’s going to be difficult as the games are coming thick and fast.
“Hopefully we can keep everyone fit. Connor [Branson] picked up his fifth booking on Tuesday, so that’ll be a bit of a blow as he’s a massive player for us but it gives another player the chance to come in and do a job for us now.”
Clayton is preparing for a tough match at Buxton tomorrow.
“I’ve watched a couple of their games to see how they set up and I’ve got a decent idea how they play. They’re normally a footballing team. They like to get the ball and play the game in the right way.
“It’s a difficult place to go, and it’s on a 4G pitch as well, so that’s a big test for us but we’ve done well against teams on 4G this year [we’ve won at Gloucester and Scarborough] and long may that continue.”

Team news
The Celts have had a lengthy injury list to contend with over the past month and have also had a number of suspensions thrown in. Head coach Clayton Donaldson will check on several knocks ahead of the game and Accrington loanee Connor O’Brien is suspended after his red card against Darlington last Saturday.
Lewis Turner remains on the long-term injury list, along with fellow defender Jack Leckie. The latter is on track to return before Christmas.

Relegation-haunted Farsley slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Buxton, with a goal on the stroke of half time from McCourt giving the home side the lead.
Farsley’s best chance to equalise came with seven minutes left to play when substitute Danny Devine’s acrobatic volley forced a world-class reaction save from Richardson, before Mulhern fired over from a few yards out from the resulting corner.
