We are pleased to announce goalkeeper Michael Acquah has re-signed for The Celts on a short-term loan from Huddersfield Town.
19-year-old Acquah joined Huddersfield Town in summer 2021 from Southend Manor Farm, originally signing as a scholar. With a rapid rise at the Club, the young goalkeeper signed his first professional contract in November 2022.
Having played for the B Team on a regular basis and trained extensively with the First Team, Acquah has spent time out on loan previously with Emley AFC, Brighouse Town and Sheffield FC. Acquah impressed in two appearances for Farsley Celtic last month when Celts’ number one Zan-Luk Leban was on international duty.
Pav Singh Director of football commented: “Michael is no stranger to the club, but with an injury to Zan-Luk we had to act quickly.
“Michael is a highly talented young player who fits our strategy of signing and loaning in young hungry players from teams higher in the footballing pyramid. We are fully confident he can come in and do a great job until Zan’s return!”
Welcome back to Farsley, Michael!
