Clayton Donaldson arrived at the club in May 2023, and guided the Celts to National League North safety on the final day of the season, in his first season in senior management, though was removed from the managerial post in September 2024.
The Bradford-born man came through the ranks at his hometown club Bradford City, before joining the youth setup at Hull City, where he had loan spells with Harrogate Town, Scarborough and Halifax Town.
After rising up the pyramid with spells at York City, SPL side Hibernian and Crewe Alexandra, Donaldson earned spells with Championship clubs such as Brentford, Birmingham City and Sheffield United which has seen him score a total of 246 goals in a career which has spanned 21 years and counting.
After spells at Bolton Wanderers, Bradford and York, the 39-year-old most recently played for Northern Premier League outfit Gainsborough Trinity in the 2022/23 season where he racked up an impressive 22 goals in 38 matches in all competitions.
Despite turning 40, Donaldson, who has earned 10 caps with the Jamaican national side, still featured regularly for Farsley as a forward last season.
