We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Ben Atkinson from Liversedge FC!

Ben rejoins the club after most recently playing for Liversedge in the Northern Premier League last season.

Atkinson, who has already notched up 171 appearances for the Celts in all competitions, is known for his creativity, dynamic passing range and strong work ethic.

He links up with his brother Chris who has recently signed a new contract extension at The Citadel, keeping him here for the 2023/24 season.

“The opportunity to see him back in the green and white hoops, playing along side his brother for me is what Farsley is all about.”

“I knew Ben from his first stint as a player at Farsley, and was disappointed to see him leave when he did, and have always kept an eye on him since. Seeing his development and progression as a player, and the new dimensions he has added to his game, coupled with his love for this club and desire to return for me made this a deal that I personally really wanted to make happen.

“Ben still has a fantastic attitude, great personality and is a hugely improved box to box player, with a great on the pitch work ethic, which fits in perfectly with what we are looking to achieve.

“He was an absolute pleasure to know and work with before, and I am hugely looking forward to doing it again! Without doubt a Farsley legend in the making!”
