Two quick-fire goals in the opening five minutes from Brackley’s Dan Turner set the tone in the game, his first goal came in the second minute, a tap in he couldn’t miss, and the second was a fantastic finish from the Brackley forward.

Danny Newton added a third for Brackley in the first half after a delicious delivery from the left-hand side.

The Celts then started to get a foothold in the game, Theo Chapman , who arrived on loan from Barnsley yesterday, looked like the brightest player in the first half for Farsley Celtic, showing great speed and agility to get past his full back on numerous occasions.

Home fans thought their team had pulled one back just before the break, George Smith’s freekick from the right hand side was met by Rudy Misambo, however his header hit the side netting.

The Celts started the second half brightly, first to second balls and tidy in possession. Clayton Donaldson had the first big chance of the second half, the ball was flicked on and then met by the Farsley head coach, but there wasn’t enough power in his header to beat Danny Lewis in goal.

Tyler Lyttle put any potential chances of a Farsley comeback to bed as his quick thinking saw him score directly from the corner.

Michael Aquah was then involved once again, his tremendous double save in the 57th minute kept the score at 4-0.

Conor Branson pulled one back for Farsley after Connor O’Brien’s deep cross was tapped home at the back post.

The Celts, to their credit, kept going.

Branson was nearly on the scoresheet again as the ball set up nicely for him on the edge of the box, sadly he put too much power on his effort and the ball flew over the bar.

Farsley’s next fixture is at Warrington on the 24 October, kick off is at 7.45pm.
