Farsley Celtic are pleased to announce the loan signing of Accrington Stanley defender Connor O’Brien.
O’Brien first joined the Accies’ youth set-up at the age of eight, and went on to captain the under 18s to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2021-22. He signed his first professional contract in June 2022.
He made his first-team debut in the English Football League with Accrington after coming on as a substitute n a 1–1 draw at Port Vale in February 2023. O’Brien has also enjoyed a loan spell at Northern Premier League side Radcliffe, and scored on his debut.
Director of football Pav Singh said: “We had to move swiftly to bring in a defender due to Harry Sheridan’s ongoing achilles problems.
“Connor is an exciting young prospect with a good pedigree for scoring goals. His signing helps bolster our defence.”
The loan signing is subject to FA clearance.
Welcome to Farsley, Connor!
