Skipper Chris Atkinson says The Celts are going into the Spennymoor game in confident mood, after taking seven points from the last three games.
Wins at home to Boston – our first of the season – and at Buxton, were followed a week ago by a decent point at a strong Southport side.
Despite Saturday’s FA Trophy setback for an injury ravaged Farsley side against Radcliffe, Chris is looking forward to tonight’s game against the promotion hopefuls, who sit in fourth but who are just six points above 13th-placed Celts in a tight league table.
Chris said: “I thought there were plenty of positives to take from the Radcliffe game despite the result.
“Obviously we were disappointed not to be in the hat for the next round, but we were missing a lot of senior and experienced players.
“Tonight’s game will be another tough one. They have a lot of good attacking players, so we will need to defend well.
“We are in very good form ourselves. In our last league home game against Boston we were very good and deserved the three points. If we can replicate that performance in tonight’s game I’m confident we can come away with a positive result.”
