Good morning all,

Going forwards I will look to give regular updates on all relevant aspects and points off interest, to keep you all in the loop as much as possible and hopefully give you greater clarity and understanding as to what, why and how things are happening.

So in that spirit, just a quick note from me to give a little more information and clarification on a couple of points that have arisen over the last week or so.

Luke Parkin has technically been “released” by the club, because we need to categorise his contract status from a legal perspective.

Luke is and always has been one of the nicest guys in the locker room, and someone I have always got on well with and have a lot of time for.

I spoke to him at length yesterday about his future and the reality is as you are all aware that he is injured and has been for a couple of months. At this time his return date is not clear due to the nature of the injury. He is due to see another specialist in the next couple of weeks, when hopefully the picture should become clearer.

Gaz Liversage will continue to work with him over the summer and we as a club will continue to support him and his recovery in whatever way we can. When the time comes that he is fit again, whenever that may be, and if he is still a free agent then we will reassess him and look at the potential of a new deal then.

Parko is one of our own and we stick by them.

We are also finalising the details of the new management team at the club. They have been actively involved in the recruitment process, so keep an eye on social media this week as we anticipate a busy seven days on the player front, and as soon as the ink is dry we will make the managerial announcement.

Thank you.
