Farsley Celtic are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new Emerging Talent Squad (ETS), in partnership with Pro Elite Academy.
Consisting of 16 elite-level players aged 16 years old, the Emerging Talent Squad will create a professional environment for talented young players to become the best versions of themselves, with the aim of developing players ready for the Farsley Celtic First Team.
The Emerging Talent Squad is in addition to the existing grassroots and academy pathways at Farsley Celtic, and will help to bridge the gap to the First Team.
The new squad will compete in the National League Football Academy, and will regularly test themselves against professional clubs in showcase fixtures.
Players will train four times per week, learning from experienced UEFA A & B Qualified Coaches directly alongside Farsley Celtic’s First Team.
The programme will also take advantage of state-of-the-art sports technologies including automated camera systems, GPS data pods, nutrition tracking and lots more to replicate a professional club environment.
With the Emerging Talent Squad officially launching in July 2023, we are now welcoming applications from talented players who have recently been released from professional academies – or are showcasing outstanding abilities in grassroots football.
The Farsley Celtic ETS will be holding a trial day on Wednesday 12th April on an invite-only basis, where players can experience a day in the life of what they can expect on the programme.
Successful trialists will then take part in a showcase game against Barnsley on Thursday 13th April.
Pav Singh, Director of Football Operations at Farsley Celtic, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the launch of our new Emerging Talent Squad.
“The Emerging Talent Squad will benefit the club massively, creating a development pathway where we can nurture elite young talent across the region to progress to our first team.
“The club are pleased to be working in partnership with Pro Elite Academy, who holds an outstanding reputation for player development across West Yorkshire already.
“This partnership will enable us to continue to develop and evolve a long-term footballing DNA from which the club can grow.
“The ETS will certainly add further value to our current provisions in Grassroots, Junior Premier League and Academy Scholarship programmes and raise the bar, widening our talent pool and reach across West Yorkshire and beyond.”
