Farsley Celtic will be looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season, as Chester visits the Citadel on Tuesday evening.

The Celts were victorious in the FA Trophy on Saturday, defeating Bradford (Park Avenue) 2-1 on the road, despite once again being without a number of important players.

It has been at home where Russ Wilcox’s side has begun to find some consistency, winning their previous two outings at the Citadel.

However, it is finding that all-round consistency that is the focus for Farsley, with Andy Butler saying: “I think we’re a good side and just need to be more consistent, and I think Russ mentioned that to us after as well, it’s been win one, lose one, let’s get a bit of consistency in our play, and we’ll be alright.

“It’s nice to get through to the next round, we had a tough FA Cup so it’s good to get through this and see where it takes us.

“Bradford worked really hard, they’re a hard-working side, their manager’s got them organised really well, they do press, they do harry, so to restrict them to one, which was our mistake, is pleasing.

“If we can just cut out the silly little mistakes out, and when we get on the counter, make the right decisions, the final pass, it makes it easier for us and it’s not a scrap.”

For Butler, Saturday saw an unexpected return to the starting XI, after initially being named on the bench.

He continued: “I haven’t trained yet, I’d literally just come into the squad!

“I had an injection in my knee, a week ago to settle it down.

“Dave pulled out and Russ said to me ‘can you do it’, and I keep myself fit anyway, it wasn’t a case of straight-line running it was changing direction.

“There was a little bit of fluid in the back of my knee, so I had the injection and it felt alright, it was a good game to get involved in and I felt like I’d never been away.”
