The 20-year-old is a familiar face at the Citadel having spent two months at Farsley on loan from the Bantams last season, making seven appearances in green and white.

Scales has 22 League Two games under his belt, mainly in the 2020/21 season, and featured for Mark Hughes’ outfit throughout pre-season, getting himself on the scoresheet in a friendly success against York City.

Russ Wilcox said: “He’s got good experience for a 20-year-old with 27 first team games for Bradford City.

“He knows the place well after being here last season, so he will know a lot of our group.

“He can play anywhere in midfield including more advanced behind the striker, and he will add quality and competition to the squad.

“We welcome him back to the club.”

Kian will now link up with the Celts for the upcoming month, and will be available for tomorrow’s game at home to AFC Fylde.
