Versatile defender/midfielder Lewis Turner returned for his second spell with the Celts in September 2021, following a spell with Scarborough Athletic.
Lewis’ original spell at The Celts began in November 2017, when he joined his brother Nathan at the club. The 30-year-old was part of the squad who earned promotion back to the National League, after lifting the Northern Premier League in May 2019, however a serious injury had curtailed his season early.
Turner began his career at Leeds United, progressing through the youth ranks, and also had spells at Chester and Harrogate before his initial spell at the Citadel. More recently, Lewis has featured for Matlock Town and Scarborough Athletic in the NPL.
