Now a Farsley stalwart, central defender Adam Clayton is entering his eighth season with the club, having arrived in October 2015 from Bradford Park Avenue. He made his debut in the home match with Spennymoor Town that season.
Clayton was integral in the 2018/19 promotion winning campaign. He contributed 14 goals from defence in 2017/18. Now Farsley’s longest serving player, last winter Clayton became the new club’s (post-2010) all-time highest appearance maker.
After early career spells with Ossett Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Garforth Town, Clayton crafted his reputation with a four year spell at Bradford Park Avenue.
