Farsley Celtic fans are being urged to support a lifeline community project providing much-needed food for local people ahead of our next home game on December 12.
The club is delighted to be partnering with the Pudsey Community Project, which provides an emergency foodbank, food pantry, and a lunch club serving hot food and clothes in the LS28 area. This includes Pudsey, Farsley, Calverley and Stanningley areas.
The project supports hundreds of people in poverty each week, including families and isolated people who may be short of food, clothing and other household essentials. It also runs activities for young people.
We are asking our generous fans for donations of food, which is in date and good to eat, along with household items which can be donated to the project.
Canned goods such as soups, vegetables, meat and beans are welcome, along with pasta, baby food and toiletries.

Donations can be made at the collection point in our clubhouse any day from 5pm and at our home game against Curzon on Tuesday, 12 December (7.45 kick off).
We’re also delighted to be part of the annual Santa’s Farsley Food Drive, which is run by volunteers from local businesses and will be picking up donations from Farsley fans from The Citadel as part of their collection around Farsley on Thursday, 14 December.

“Pudsey Community Project does such important work in the community, supporting vulnerable people and providing a real lifeline for those in need.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with them and Santa’s Farsley Food Drive and would encourage our fans and the people of Farsley to donate what they can at a time of year which is difficult for so many.
“As a club we are looking forward to working closely with Pudsey Community Project in what we hope will be the first of many collaborations.”
Santa’s Farsley Food Drive sees a sleigh travel from Sunny Bank Mills through various streets in Farsley on the evening of Thursday, 14 December to pick up donations – including items dropped off at The Citadel.
Volunteers from Farsley Celtic will be joining the collection – and we’re even hoping to have the supporters’ club minibus driven by Stubbsy joining the parade as it winds its way through Farsley!
