Farsley Celtic will be looking for a return to form this weekend as the Celts make the trip to Lincolnshire to face Boston United.

The Celts face a tough prospect in the form of play-off chasers Boston United on Saturday, as Farsley look to improve their recent form after a winless streak of five matches.

Clayton Donaldson’s side most recently fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Warrington Town midweek, after a quickfire brace from Connor Woods on the stroke of half time was enough to secure the three points for the away side, condemning Farsley to their third consecutive home defeat at The Citadel.

They will be hoping to rekindle their early and mid-season form when they go to The Jakemans Community Stadium with the Celts looking more solid away from home in recent times, with the last result on the road being a 0-0 draw away at Brackley Town.

Boston will be a tough challenge however for Donaldson’s men, with the Pilgrims looking to move back into the play-off positions after their game in midweek away at Banbury United was postponed for a waterlogged pitch.

Ian Culverhouse’s side have been in free-scoring form as of late, scoring 14 goals in their last five matches, with their most recent encounter being a thrilling 7-3 win away at Gloucester City where Jimmy Knowles and Kelsey Mooney scored all of Boston’s goals, Mooney with four.

Farsley will be looking for a repeat of the reverse fixture where the Celts recorded their first home win of the season in a 2-0 victory which saw top scorer Ben Atkinson secure a brace back in November in a dominant performance from the Celts.
