Farsley Celtic Women will look to continue their perfect start to the season as they face off against fellow unbeaten side Athletico FC away from home this Sunday.

The Celts will be aiming to make it six wins from their first six games and will be full of confidence after coming off back-to-back clean sheets in their last two fixtures.

Athletico, however, remains unbeaten after their opening three fixtures and a win at home against the league leaders Farsley will see them climb to third.

On paper, the game is set to be one of Farsley’s biggest tests of the season so far.

But Farsley Celtic manager Jamie Sykes believes his side has the required quality to end Athletico’s unbeaten run.

“I am looking forward to this one, we played them in pre-season and beat them 6-4,” Sykes said.

“We know what they’re about and their captain is a great player so if we stop her, we stop Athletico.”

Despite Farsley’s perfect start to the season Sykes and his team won’t get carried away.

He continued: “We just play our game, and the players are very grounded as it is, so it’s just one game at a time for us.”

The game takes place at the Bradford Academy, postcode BD4 7QJ.
