Leeds-born Jimmy Spencer is coming into his fifth season as a Farsley player, having initially joined the club in August 2018. With plenty of experience in the Football League, the 30-year-old forward has shown his football intelligence and prowess in front of goal time and time again, to become a firm fan’s favourite at the Citadel.
Jimmy started his career with Huddersfield Town, and was with the Terriers for five years when he also enjoyed spells on loan with then National League Club Northwich Victoria, Morecambe, Cheltenham, Brentford, Crawley Town and Scunthorpe United.
Following a brief spell with Notts County he signed a two-year deal with the club at the start of the 2014/15 season. He then had a year with Plymouth Argyle in 2016/17 and moved on to play for Mansfield Town in 2017/18.
He was voted NPL player of the year in his first campaign with the club and then signed a long term contract in May 2019, before renewing with another two-year contract in summer 2021, which will keep him at the club through to summer 2023.
