26-year-old left back George Smith joined Farsley over the summer following recent spells with Guiseley and Liversedge.

The Barnsley born man came through the ranks at his hometown club and would go on to make 44 appearances for the Tykes between 2014 and 2016 in League One before joining Gateshead.

He would go on to be a staple of the Gateshead team, making 38 appearances for the National League side in the 2016/17 season, scoring his first professional goal before making the step up back into League One to join Northampton Town.

Also having represented Chesterfield, Dover Athletic, Boston United, Darlington and Harrogate Town, George is known for his dynamic attacking play and robust defending.
