Goals from Dior Angus and David Morgan earned the Lancashire coast side victory at a bitterly cold Silverlands Stadium in Buxton.

A slip from centre-back Essa Jennah allowed Dior a free run in on goal and he slotted past Will Brook for Southports’ opener on 17 minutes.
The Celt Army put in a solid display and remained in the contest at 1-0 down until five minutes from time when Morgan squeezed the ball home from a narrow angle after Will Evans’ initial effort had been kept out by Brook.
David Stockdale’s team are in action at Buxton again on Saturday afternoon when we host league leaders Chester FC.
