Football is relentless, there’s never a moment to switch off, and challenges come thick and fast both on and off the pitch. The situations we’ve faced this season could be met with defeatism, but that’s not how we operate here and while we have the strength and keep believing the only mindset is: “Can do it and will do it.” That’s the attitude driving this group of players, staff, and everyone working tirelessly to keep us moving forward and turning up.

Yes, moving players on , injuries and setbacks to senior players have impacted us, but I refuse to let that define our journey or stand in the way of our long-term project for now. We know results are key, and this season has shown just how vital it is to get points on the board. However, we also recognise the importance of growth and development, especially with a young and inexperienced squad at this level. This is what it is and let’s give them what we can.

Our aim is to give these players experiences that will help them grow, develop their leadership, and shape their character. Adversity tests you, but it also strengthens you, and I believe these moments are laying the foundation for a stronger future. The performances over recent weeks, especially in tough games, have shown glimpses of what this group is capable of when they dig deep and stick to the principles.

That said, we must also be honest about areas for improvement. The goals we conceded against Radcliffe highlighted a disconnect between units on the pitch, as well as a lack of communication. These were poor goals to concede, and the players need to learn from this quickly. I don’t say this lightly, but it’s crucial we address these moments of vulnerability. Having experience on the pitch often makes the difference in managing the flow of the game and dealing with critical moments. While this is part of the learning curve for a young squad, it’s an area where we must show immediate progress.

I also want to highlight the crucial role of the chairman and the board. They are working hard behind the scenes to find the resources and income needed to sustain and grow the club, even amidst setbacks. Financial stability is vital, and home games provide an essential boost to the financial model that supports not just the first team, but every part of this club.

This club is more than what happens on the pitch on a Saturday. It’s about the whole football family: the women’s team, the deaf team, the ETS, the U23s, the B team, and all the grassroots squads who proudly wear our badge. Together, we represent something far bigger than any single result or league position. And somehow, despite the challenges, we keep going and that resilience defines who we are.

Last week’s results across the league proved that anything can happen. Rushall’s win at Kidderminster, one of the best sides in the division, is a reminder that football is about moments. Building an identity, sticking to principles, and finding those moments is the formula we are working toward.

Thank you to the fans who continue to stand with us through it all. With your support, we’ll continue to fight, grow, and build for the future.

Enjoy the match!
