Standing Together in Tough Times

“Tough times create leaders.” As we prepare to face Darlington, we once again find ourselves traveling to Buxton for what should feel like a home game. It’s times like these that test us, pushing each of us to support one another. I must admit, this is one of the biggest challenges I’ve encountered on my journey. But I will continue to live out our core values every day, because they run through my veins. The players feel the weight of this journey, yet they’re still striving, still overcoming obstacles together. Every player is in a different headspace, but their love for football and their commitment on the pitch have never been questioned.

Today, we also say goodbye to a true Farsley stalwart, Tom Allan. Tom deserves a medal for his incredible contributions, both as a player and as a person. His character and dedication to the club have left an indelible mark. Known for his loyalty, resilience, and uplifting spirit, Tom has been a massive fan favourite, and his presence will be missed dearly by us all. Wishing him and his family the very best as he embarks on the next chapter.

As for today’s game, we’re focused on nullifying mistakes. The players know where we need to improve, and actions speak louder than words. We’re Farsley, and we will always keep fighting. I’ll continue to encourage and support every player to the end—we’re not giving up, no matter the challenges ahead.

“Some people bring such warmth and positivity into a room that their absence is immediately felt—Tom Allan is one of those people. His legacy with us will live on.”
