Match Day Review: Disappointment at Hereford
Today’s game against Hereford was a frustrating one, especially given our focus on cutting out mistakes. We’ve spoken as a group about learning from past games like Kettering and Spennymoor, but once again, individual errors came back to haunt us, gifting Hereford two goals. This recurring issue is costing us valuable points, and it’s a lesson we must take to heart if we want to get the results we’re working toward.
On the positive side, we saw some growth in our play. We controlled possession and handled the ball well, showing comfort in our passing and movement—a step forward for us. However, we struggled to turn that control into chances, missing key moments to exploit Hereford’s defence.
I know the lads are feeling the stretch with the injuries we’re carrying, and that pressure is having a clear impact. Despite these challenges, they’re pushing through, giving everything they have, and stepping up for each other.
We regroup and prepare to travel to Scunthorpe on Tuesday—a full-time outfit that will truly test us to the max. It’s another tough challenge, but we’ll approach it with the same determination and commitment we’ve shown all season. We’ll take the lessons from today and channel them into a performance that reflects who we are as a team.
