The opening month of the competitive season is now confirmed for Farsley Celtic Women following today’s draw for the First Qualifying Round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

Making their return to the competition after returning to the West Yorkshire Premier Division with last season’s promotion, Farsley Celtic Women have been drawn against Sheffield United Community Foundation Women with the tie to take place on Sunday 1st of September. The venue for this is to be confirmed due to the ongoing work at The Citadel as we have been drawn at home.

Following this it is on to league action with three consecutive away trips taking us across Yorkshire both near and far with the league opener seeing us taking on Wyke Wanderers at Wyke Sports Village on Sunday 8th of September.

The week after it is one of our longer away trips of the season as we head out to North Yorkshire to take on Skipton Town on Sunday 15th of September followed by a week off before we head to LS25 to take on a Sherburn White Rose side who knocked us out of the League Cup at the tail-end of last season.

Excitement is building across the team as we face the dual challenge of two new competitions this season along with the associated step up in the standard of opposition we will be facing as a result of this.
