Defender Lewis Turner has been voted player of the month by fans – securing an overwhelming 31.15% of the Celt Army’s vote.

Lewis only returned to the starting XI this month after a serious injury sustained before pre-season had led to an operation and a long spell on the sidelines.

In January the experienced defender had spent time on loan at Ossett United, before being recalled to the Citadel. His 92nd-minute winner against Blyth Spartans in his second game back will live long in the memory.

In second place was January’s winner, goalkeeper Zan Luk Leban, and in joint third were Isaac Assenso, Chris Atkinson and Tom Allan.
