Hull City loanee Jack Leckie has suffered another injury and won’t be returning to Farsley Celtic this season.
Talented Jack joined The Celts on a season-long loan from the Championship side in August and impressed in his six early-season performances – but has had rotten luck with injuries and hasn’t featured since early September.
Gaffer Clayton Donaldson said Jack had returned to full training after suffering from an injured foot – but has now injured his other foot, which has required an operation.
“Jack’s had such bad luck,” said Clayton. “It’s a blow for us as he was colossal for us when he played, a solid eight out of ten every game.
“We wish him well and will be monitoring his progress as he recovers from his latest injury.”
The Celts have been boosted by the return to training of fellow defender Harry Sheridan, but he still lacks match fitness after a long-term absence.
Forward Darren Stephenson, who has been out since November’s 1-1 draw at Southport, has started running and is following his own fitness programme before resuming full training.
