League leaders Tamworth are our next opponents, with The Celts travelling to Staffordshire full of confidence after their 3-1 win over Bishop’s Stortford last weekend.
It’s fair to say National League North new-boys Tamworth are enjoying life since promotion last season and are unbeaten in their last 11 games – their last defeat was at Chester (2-0) in early December. They have a good home record, having won 12, drawn one and lost three of their 16 home games so far and their draw at Alfreton last weekend was their seventh consecutive clean sheet.
The Celts, however, have one of the better away records in the division, having lost only five times on their travels this season. Should be a cracker on Tamworth’s 3G pitch!
