Farsley Celtic entertain play-off hopefuls Curzon Ashton tonight (7.45pm) aiming to stretch their unbeaten run to six games.

The Celts haven’t been beaten since a 2-1 loss to Darlington at the start of November – and skipper Chris Atkinson paid tribute to the way we’ve rallied since then – despite a hefty injury list.

“It’s a testament to everyone involved that we are looking solid as a team and not conceding many goals, which always gives you a platform to get a result from any game,” Chris said.

Curzon are on a recent good run in the league following the departure of former Farsley Celtic boss Adam Lakeland in September and the lads know they will have to be at their best to secure all three points.

“Tonight’s game will be another good test for us,” Chris added. “Curzon are doing well in the league, currently sitting in the play off positions. They have a lot of former Farsley players so we know a lot about them and how they play.

“It will be a tough game, but we just need to keep the performance level the same as we have been doing.

“The confidence is high and we are in good form. The lads can’t wait to get back out there after a couple of weeks break.”
