Farsley Celtic captain Chris Atkinson says the lads are coming into the Gloucester game in fine form, after going unbeaten in the seven league games since the start of November.

But Chris warned today will be a tough game against a Gloucester side coming off the back of a fine 3-0 win against play-off chasers Curzon Ashton on Tuesday.

He said: “Gloucester have had a lot of changes this season in terms of manager and players.

“Even though they’re below us in the league they still pose a threat with lots of good players. They have picked up some very good results of late so it’s going to be a tough game, like they all are in this league!

“We are full of confidence as our form is outstanding, we’re playing some really good football and we look solid as a team. We don’t need to change anything just need to focus on the performance like we have been doing, and with that should bring a positive result and keep our unbeaten run going.”

The Celts’ last league game was a 1-1 draw at Banbury last Saturday, where Chris felt we were unfortunate not to take all three points after being pegged back by a late equaliser. “It’s always a tough place to go,” he added. “To be fair they threw a lot of men forward in search of an equaliser.”
