Farsley Celtic are pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old midfielder Jack Evans, who has represented Wales at U19, U20 and U21 level.

The former Swansea City Youth player also had spells at Newport County, Penybont and had a loan spell at Cypriot Division One side Pafos FC. Jack’s last club was Southern League Premier Division South side Merthyr Town, where he was a first team regular.

The Celts’ director of football Pav Singh said: “We wasted no time in getting Jack over the line. He goes straight into our squad for tonight’s game at Spennymoor and will bring undoubted quality to our midfield.”

Jack recently moved to the Leeds area as he is the personal development trainer for Leeds United and Wales defender Joe Rodon.

Pav said he is actively looking for a centre forward, following injuries to centre forwards Clayton Donaldson and Darren Stephenson.

“It is important at this stage of the season that we have a healthy squad ,” Pav added. “The younger players who stepped into the team against Southport and Radcliffe have impressed us greatly and we are proud of their achievements.”

Forward Bubba Krubally came on against Radcliffe in the FA Trophy defeat on Saturday and he will keep his place in tonight’s squad, where he will be joined by fellow forward Ebenezer Ameho.
