The Celts go into the game looking for their first home win of the season – and our captain is looking forward to the match but is clear on where we need to improve after a mixed bag of results in the last four games.
Against Brackley and Alfreton the Celts made a slow start, and the need to start ‘on the front foot’ is something the players are acutely aware of.
“The Darlington game will be another tough one,” he said. “Even though they are bottom of the league they still have a lot of good players who can hurt you on their day.
“We just need to focus on ourselves though. We need to make sure that to a man we are on the front foot and playing at a high tempo as that’s when we are at our best and have caused every team a problem when we have played that way.
“The lads have worked very hard in training this week and can’t wait to get going!”
Kick off is 3pm and tickets can be bought in advance here, or pay on the gate.
