Farsley Celtic will be looking to make it three away wins out of four on Tuesday evening when the Celts make the trip to Croft Park to face Blyth Spartans.
Last time out, Farsley managed to hold previous play-off contenders to a 0-0 draw at The Citadel in a game where Clayton Donaldson’s side had the better of play overall.
It was a solid point considering the previous 2-0 away defeat at CHhester, and now Farsley will be looking to build on that with three points tonight away at Blyth Spartans, who have also started the season in decent form.
Graham Fenton’s side currently sit 8th in the National League North after winning four matches out of seven including impressive wins against Spennymoor Town and Gloucester City on the opening day.
Their early season form saw them rise into the play-offs, however a 3-1 defeat away at Boston United on Saturday now sees them just outside of the top seven.
Like Farsley, Blyth played an active role in the dramatic relegation battle last season, with the Spartans securing survival on the last day thanks to a thumping 5-0 home win against Hereford.
In the previous encounter between the two clubs, Blyth were 2-0 victors at The Citadel, whilst the clubs played out a 1-1 draw at Croft Park in September 2022 where the Celts were cruelly denied their second win of the season after Kian Scales’ opener was cancelled out by a stoppage time equaliser.
It is sure to be an intriguing encounter this Tuesday evening, with the match also being broadcast live on National League TV where fans can purchase a match pass for £9.50.
TEAM NEWS
