Good luck to Marley Blair and Isaac Assenso, who have both joined Liversedge FC on loan
Isaac as part of his rehabilitation from a serious injury sustained in pre-season needs the game time to help his progress and enable him to get up to a competitive speed with the first team. It was felt by the management team that a purely training environment alone isn’t enough, and live competitive games were also required to get the optimum results.
Given the level the first team is performing at, it was felt that compromising first team performances for the benefit of one players rehabilitation wasn’t an option, so he will go out for a month and gain this well needed game time.
Marleys circumstances are slightly different, having shown glimpses of his ability Marley has found coming in from the Icelandic league to the physical nature of the national league a big change in playing styles and footballing culture.
It is hoped that regular game time will allow Marley to adapt quicker to the English game.
We look forward to seeing both guys in action again on their return.
