We are pleased to announce that today we completed the signing of highly rated 18 year old central defender Chima Anyiam-Osigwe, to a permanent contract with the club.
Chima initially impressed in the high performance squad game against Leeds Utd 23s, and since then he has trained with the first team and made a number of pre-season appearances.
The management team have been impressed with how he has progressed and are very much of the opinion that he is one for the future.
Chima goes into the 18 man match-day squad for tomorrows season opener.
Chairman Paul Barthorpe commented: “Chima has surprised everyone with his ability and positive attitude since first appearing in one of our showcase matches, and hasn’t looked out of place in our pre-season games. This again demonstrates the clubs new direction in opening as many clear and achievable pathways to the first team as possible to attract the best in young local talent to our club.”
