Good Evening,A further update from myself just to keep you all up to date with where we are at with everything Farsley Celtic…….Firstly, I’d like to say ‘thank you’ to the supporters that have turned up so far to volunteer and help us with our pre-season build up. Your assistance is greatly appreciated, it really means a lot to all of us here and makes a huge difference. We are always looking for additional numbers and if you want to come down and help us out we would be hugely grateful, please email jstubbs@farsleyceltic.com for more details. During the announcement of our Management team, we stated that we were waiting on clearance for one final member. That member was Andy Butler, who we offered terms to in a player/coach role. Unfortunately, having Andy in this role at the club hasn’t been possible, and he will be continuing his coaching and playing roles at Scunthorpe United. We thank Andy for his efforts for us last season and wish him all the best in his current role.We are very pleased to announce that as per our post on the 22nd May, we have now submitted our pre-planning application for the site development. We have been advised that this stage of the process should take 4-6 weeks. We will update with progress as and when we get it.We have also been busy putting everything into place and adding the final touches to what we hope will be a very exciting and successful season for us!The pitch has been seeded, sanded, fertilised and will have a germination sheet put over it this week, ready for the pre-season friendlies in July. The final pre-season friendly schedule is also being completed and will be issued this week. We have made the conscious decision to bring Yorkshire teams to The Citadel for this pre-season, as we are aware that this forthcoming season in the league we don’t really have any local rivalry, and we didn’t want to miss out completely so we are going to create some pre-season ones of our own instead! The season ticket information will be getting released in the next 24 hours, and you will see from our pricing strategy we are offering the best value we can to keep live football as affordable as possible for everyone, with an offering of a third of our home games free of charge for those purchasing season tickets. We have also kept our gate entry the lowest in the league, to help all of our non-season ticket holding supporters. As of Thursday this week our new kit will be available on a pre-order, we will also have non-playing kit and training wear available for pre-order. Details for this to follow.Next week will see the release of our sponsorship packages for the forthcoming season, with pitch side, back of shirt, shirt sleeves and packages all available.Hope to see you all on Thursday at the Open Training and meet the Players and Management Event. This starts at 7.00pm.
