Farsley Celtic can confirm that Ian Cotton has left his role as Financial Director at the club.

Ian Cotton joined the board in March 2020, and has been an integral member of the team over the past three years, helping the club navigate the difficult COVID-19 period.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Ian for his immense hard work over the previous three years, and wish him all the best for the future.

Chairman Paul Barthorpe said: “It is with significant gratitude and thanks on behalf of the club, and particularly myself, that we say goodbye to Ian who leaves his post today.

“He has been a great servant to this club over the years, particularly for me in his capacity as financial director in more recent times.

“He has helped guide us successfully through some of the most challenging financial times in recent memory.

“COVID was a difficult time for all clubs at this level, and under Ian’s financial guidance we as a club managed to navigate this and other related challenges to come out the other end in a strong position.

“He leaves the club knowing he is always welcome back at any time, and will be a lifelong friend of the club and myself.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank his wife, Julie, who is also leaving her role at the club and thank her for all her efforts and the contribution she has made during her time here.

I look forward to seeing you both again soon back supporting on a match day.”

There will be further announcements on additions to the board over the coming weeks.
