Farsley Celtic completed a five nil victory over Northwich Victoria with second half goals from Chris Howarth, Lewis Sugden and a hat-trick for Lewis Nightingale.
A non descript first half was not helped by the windy conditions, and the visiting Celts reduced the home side to a handful of long range efforts. Farsley were forced into an early change when Paul Walker was replaced by Lewis Sugden. with the striker suffering with illness.
The Celts only chance of the half came when Paddy Miller threaded a ball through to Aiden Savory, and the striker flashed his shot across the goal with no support on hand.
It was the second half when Farsley and the game came to life. With just a minute gone in the half Aaron Hardy received the ball on the edge of the area, made it to the by line, and crossed for Chris Howarth to head home at the far post.
Hardy then had a long range effort for himself, that was easily saved by King in the Northwich goal. Farsley then dominated the rest of the half. Lewis Nightingale scored a quick double on 56 and 65 minutes to make the visitors possession pay off. On 83 minutes Lewis Sugden finished off the goal of the game. Nightingale jinked his way past three defenders and played the ball in to Sugden, who finished well from twelve yards out into the top right corner.
With two minutes remaining substitute Josh Grant made his way into the box and was felled by a Northwich defender. Nightingale stepped up to score from the spot and complete his hat-trick and the scoring for Farsley.
The Celts have now won their last twelve games in a row, and find themselves seventh place, and two points from the play-off places.
