Farsley Celtic made it ten wins in a row as they came from behind to defeat West Yorkshire rivals Harrogate Railway 3-1. Harrogate took an early lead as Stephen Bromley beat the offside trap and lobbed Farsley 'keeper Tom Taylor. Chris Howarth then had the chance to level the scores however he fired his shot just over from the edge of the box. Towards the end of the first half the ball fell to Chris Ovington in the box, but shot straight at Taylor despite being unchallenged. Just moments later Ovington had another glorious chance as he shot on the turn and beat Taylor, only to see his effort roll agonisingly wide.
Midway through the second half Farsley started to pile on the pressure as Chris Howarth's header from Lewis Nightingale's corner was well saved by Tom Stewart, before Adam Clayton's follow up shot was blocked on the line. Farsley did get their equaliser shortly after as Paddy Miller played a delightful long pass through to Aiden Savory who slotted home. With less than ten minutes remaining Clayton unleashed a thunderbolt from 30 yards that rocketed into the top corner to put The Celts in front. With time running out Clayton headed home from Jordan Deacey's corner to warp up the three points for Farsley. This win lifts Celtic up to 9th in the league, and leaves them just five points off the playoffs.
