Russ Wilcox was appointed Farsley manager at the start of February, following the departure of Neil Ross.
His aim was to keep the club in the National League North and he succeeded as he turned a struggling side low on confidence which were rooted to the bottom of the table; survival being captured on a nervy final day of the season.
With experience of managing in the Football League, Wilcox had his first permanent role in management at Scunthorpe United, winning promotion to League One at the first time of asking in 2014.
The Hemswroth-born former defender also managed at York City between 2014 and 2015, and was caretaker manager at Scunthorpe during the final months of the 2019/20 season.
The 57-year-old had a lengthy playing career, beginning in the non-league ranks with Frickley Athletic, before going on to play professionally for Northampton Town, Hull City, Doncaster Rovers, Preston North End and Scunthorpe United.
