Neil Redfearn shares an update following his first week at the club as well as a look ahead to the Warrington clash

Welcome to Farsley Neil, you’ve had your first week at the club now, how have you found settling in?

We’ve had two good training sessions which has given me the chance to meet the lads and go through some observations and systems of play but the chance to work with the lads was key.

You’ve had the chance to take two training sessions now as you mention, how have you found working with the squad so far?

Their response to the ideas and application in game practice has been great and there is a strong willingness to improve, as generally it’s a young squad that can improve individually and as a collective.

Just over halfway into the season, what are the objectives for the rest of the campaign?

Well I know it’s an old cliche but to take every game as it comes and try get something from every game. We need to improve the process so we can trust it going forward because to win is great but to not know how you’ve won is unforgivable, so the process again is key.

How do you feel the team is faring ahead of the Warrington match?

We’ve lost quite a few players though injury and departures, so we know we need to recruit and help the lads that are here and we’re on with that now. But it is important that we stay focused on our level of performance to give ourselves the chance to improve and pick up points.

What are you expecting from the Warrington match?

A tough game against a decent opponent. I saw the game when they drew 0-0 at Scarborough and they were well organised and defensively resolute that day. They also carried a threat going forward but I am more interested in us and to take the confidence shown in training into the game.
