We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Samuel Fielding!

Sam joins the Celts on a permanent contract after leaving fellow National League North side Spennymoor Town where the 25-year-old made 27 appearances last season, scoring once and assisting on two occasions.

Being born in York, he spent his youth career at hometown club York City, before moving to South Yorkshire to Barnsley, followed by a spell at Salford City.

Our second signing of the summer to be announced, Sam has plenty of experience already of playing his football in West Yorkshire, after making 65 appearances for Bradford Park Avenue before his move to Spennymoor, followed by a loan spell at Hyde United in the second half of the 2023/24 season.

A central midfielder by trade, Fielding is also capable of dropping deeper to play defensive midfield, as well as performing as a centre-back.
